Here are some principles and action steps according to Islamic teachings: 1. Patience and Perseverance (Sabr): Quranic Guidance: "O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient." (Quran 2:153) Hadith: Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "The strong person is not the one who can wrestle someone else down. The strong person is the one who can control himself when he is angry." (Sahih al-Bukhari) Imam Ali: "Patience is of two kinds: patience over what pains you, and patience against what you covet." 2. Trust in Allah (Tawakkul): Quranic Guidance: "And upon Alla...

North / History

Standard for directions. Historically several conventions were used to set directions on maps. Different conventions pointed to different directions. This is an old compass and an old map However all the ancient conventions faded except one. Today all maps use the same standard: Up is North, right is East, left is West and down is South. This means if you are standing then the sun rises to your right and the sun sets to your left, you are facing North and behind you is South. However 1400 years ago this was portrayed in the Quran: Quran 18:17 You would see the sun, when it rose it shone into their cave from the right, and when it set it shone from the left, as they lay in the midst of the cave. That was one of Allah's wonders. He whom Allah guides is truly guided; but he whom He misguides, for him you will find no directing friend.

Pompeii / History

Pompeii  Frozen in their final act. Archaeologists discovered the remains of an old town in Italy which was hit by a volcano 79 A.D. The fast moving cyroplastic flow caught its citizens off guard. The hot pumice, ash, and debris quickly hardened around peoples' bodies, like a mold, preserving their final act. But 1400 years ago it was stated in the Quran that Allah can freeze disbelievers motionless in Hell: But 1400 years ago it was stated in the Quran that Allah can freeze disbelievers motionless in Hell: Quran 36:67 And if We will, We can freeze them in their place; so they can neither move forward, nor go back.  وَلَوْ نَشَاءُ لَمَسَخْنَاهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِهِمْ فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا مُضِيًّا وَلَا يَرْجِعُونَ God can freeze disbelievers motionless in Hell. Today we know that people mof Pompeii were frozen in their final act by a volcano. Lava, hot ash... from the volcano are the same stuff portrayed in Hell in the Quran.

Digital Books / History

Replace paper books. 1400 years ago people wrote on animal skin and early versions of paper. Today we can transform paper books to digital form. They are called digital books because at the lowest level they are just zeros and ones. But once it is in digital form it can no longer be read from paper; it has to be read from a special electronic device. E-book An electronic book, also known as an e-book or eBook, is a book publication made available in digital form, consisting of text, images, or both, readable on the flat-panel display of computers or other electronic devices. Although sometimes defined as "an electronic version of a printed book", some e-books exist without a printed equivalent. E-books can be read on dedicated e-reader devices, but also on any computer device that features a controllable viewing screen, including desktop computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones. Wikipedia, E-book, 2020 This was known recently, however this was portrayed in the Quran 1400 y...

Calendar / History

Image
Solar vs lunar 1400 years ago the Arabs used the lunar calendar. The Quran portrays that the solar year was used before the lunar year. Skeptics claim that whoever wrote the Quran made a mistake; the lunar calendar was invented first by the Sumerians. Today archaeologists discovered that the solar calendar was first used in the stone age, thousands of years before the Sumerians. The Sumerian Calendar The Sumerians and Babylonians were probably the first people to use what we now recognize as a modern calendar. The basis of this was the lunar cycle and the Sumerian year was made up of 12 lunar cycles. But 12 moon cycles fall short in relation to the solar year. So not to fall out of sync with the seasons, the Sumerian astronomers introduced an extra month every four years... Subsequently the Sumerian calendar was not only absorbed into the Babylonian calendar, but a lot of other cultures such as the Ancient Greeks, Egyptians and Hebrews also absorbed elements into their own calend...

Paper Money / History

Image
Instead of metal coins. Paper money was first used in China in the 11th century. Jiaozi Jiaozi was a form of promissory banknote which appeared around the 11th century in the Sichuan capital of Chengdu, China. Numismatists regard it as the first paper money in history, a development of the Chinese Song Dynasty (960-1279 CE). Wikipedia, Jiaozi (currency), 2019 However the Quran says that paper money was known and used long before the Chinese: Even so, We awakened them, so that they may ask one another. A speaker among them said, "How long have you stayed?" They said, "We have stayed a day, or part of a day." They said, "Your Lord knows best how long you have stayed." "Send one of you to the city, with this paper money of yours, and let him see which food is most suitable, and let him bring you some provision thereof. And let him be gentle, and let no one become aware of you." ١٩ وَكَذَٰلِكَ بَعَثْنَاهُمْ لِيَتَسَاءَلُوا بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ قَالَ قَائِل...
