Curvature of spacetime.


There are three possibilities to how the universe could end: Big Rip, Big Crunch or Big Chill. NASA already ruled out the first scenario (No Big Rip; see also: Universe Today). This leaves the universe with only two possible endings: Big Crunch or Big Chill.

Stephen Hawking's proposal predicted that the Universe would eventually stop expanding and collapse in on itself (Big Crunch).

In the Quran God promises to make the Big Crunch:

Quran 7:187

They ask you about the Hour, "When will it come?" Say, "Knowledge of it rests with my Lord. None can reveal its coming except He. It weighs heavily on the heavens and the earth. It will not come upon you except suddenly." They ask you as if you are responsible for it. Say, "Knowledge of it rests with Allah," but most people do not know.


١٨٧ يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرْسَاهَا ۖ قُلْ إِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِنْدَ رَبِّي ۖ لَا يُجَلِّيهَا لِوَقْتِهَا إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ ثَقُلَتْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ لَا تَأْتِيكُمْ إِلَّا بَغْتَةً ۗ يَسْأَلُونَكَ كَأَنَّكَ حَفِيٌّ عَنْهَا ۖ قُلْ إِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ


The Quran used the term "weighs ثَقُلَتْ " which means by gravity. But from General Relativity we know that gravity is curvature of spacetime. We also know that wormholes are equivalent to folding spacetime like a book.






Quran 21:104

On the day when We will fold the heaven, like the folder compacts the books, and as We originated the first creation We shall return it; a promise (binding on Us); surely We will deliver.


١٠٤ يَوْمَ نَطْوِي السَّمَاءَ كَطَيِّ السِّجِلِّ لِلْكُتُبِ ۚ كَمَا بَدَأْنَا أَوَّلَ خَلْقٍ نُعِيدُهُ ۚ وَعْدًا عَلَيْنَا ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا فَاعِلِينَ



Here God promises to make this Big Crunch however by folding the heaven like a book.

So in one verse God promises to make the Big Crunch by gravity and in another verse by folding spacetime like a book. Since both verses are describing the same event then gravity is curvature of spacetime in the Quran

How could an illiterate man who lived 1400 years ago have known that gravity is curvature of spacetime?



(According to the Bible Earth's gravity is so strong that it will make stars fall on Earth: In Mark 13:24-30 Jesus said that stars will fall on Earth before his second coming. Actually he said that stars will fall on Earth before even that generation passes away. However that generation passed away a long time ago and no star ever fell on Earth nor ever will.)

  Standard for directions. Historically several conventions were used to set directions on maps. Different conventions pointed to different directions. This is an old compass and an old map However all the ancient conventions faded except one. Today all maps use the same standard: Up is North, right is East, left is West and down is South. This means if you are standing then the sun rises to your right and the sun sets to your left, you are facing North and behind you is South.
